What Is a PICC Fee or PIC-C Fee?A PICC Fee or PIC-C Fee is a "Pre-subscribed Interexchange Carrier Charge". These are Federally mandated charges that every business line customer must pay based on the number and types of phone lines that they have. Business lines are normally charged $2.61 to $4.31 per line, with the first line being free from most long distance companies. The FCC has a cap on PICC Fees at $5.00 per line. What If I Don't Have a Business?If you don't have a business, then you don't have to pay PICC Fees or PIC-C Fees. So, make sure when you sign up for long distance service, that you sign up as a residential user. Also, if you work from home, you can usually get away with not paying any PICC Fees by making sure you sign up as a residential user.
